4th day of MC. Went to visit the doctor in the late morning. Had new medicine prescribed cos I completed the previous course of medication. The doctor didn't allow me to go back to school tomorrow. Haiz. He was afraid I'll get the virus again from school and then it would be more difficult to cure. Looks like this is my longest MC ever! Anyway, the new medicine has this side effect. It makes my hands and body tremble. hahas. I couldn't write properly. But it makes me sleep more easily and more soundly. hahas.
I'm feeling guilty now. My mum and brother are sick too! I think I passed the virus to them... Hopefully they will get well soon! The funny thing is my brother only had 1 day MC and I have 6 days! hahas. The result of seeing two different doctors!

3rd day of MC. Nothing interesting. Just stuck at home.
Same old routine. Wake up, have breakfast while watching TV, take medicine, do some work (really slowly cos by then the medicine has taken effect *drowsiness*), have lunch, take medicine, continue to do work (but the 2nd dose of medicine takes effect again), watch TV, nap, have dinner, take medicine, watch TV, sleep.
Cool eh. My routine only consists of FOOD, SLEEP, TV, WORK and MEDICINE. hahas.

2nd day of MC. It really feels like school holiday again. hahas. I don't have to wake up so early, I can watch TV and I can take afternoon nap. But my day isn't that perfect. Although I'm not having fever anymore, my throat hurts like there's no tomorrow. It's really painful! How can I enjoy my day with such a bad sore throat? Plus I'm coughing more today but sneezing less. hahas. My condition really fluctuates. Anyway, what makes me really upset is that I'm going to miss house session tomorrow. The LAST house session of the year, the LAST house session of my school life, the LAST time I get to stand infront of the house... I feel really bad and sad. I really want to handover the house session to Monica just like how Kok Hao handed over to me last year. But I guess I can't and Jade will do it for me. Another sad thing is that the council teachers are treating us on Friday but I'm not sure if I can go. Haiz. I'm really sick on the wrong week!

I am sick.

Yup, the flu bug caught me!
Wasn't feeling right on Saturday night. It's like a body sensor thing, you'll know when you are falling ill. Used up lots of tissue throughout Saturday night cos of runny nose.
My mum wanted to bring me to the doctor on Sunday morning but I wasn't having fever so I thought it wouldn't be necessary. Guess I should have listened to my mum. Had high fever in the evening. My temperature went from 38.6 to 38.8 to 38.1 to 38.5. It kept going up and down. I was cooped up in bed the whole night. All I did was sleep, sneeze, drink water and take panadol. It was a terrible night. I felt like I was burning.
Didn't go to school today. Went to visit the doctor in the late morning. I felt better, at least I wasn't having fever. The clinic was so crowded! Anyway, the doctor diagnosed influenza like illness. hahas. He gave me 6 days MC! You should see how shocked I was. I thought it would only be 3 days. Now I'm going to miss a week of school! Going to have to catch up a lot... When I returned home from the doctor, my condition got worse again. Haiz. It comes and goes, comes and goes. Couldn't do any studying cos my head hurts and I just slept and slept.
Wells, being sick isn't such a bad thing though. Falling ill made me feel loved. My mum took care of me, sponging me and giving me medicine. My dad took leave to bring me to the doctor and he even went out at night to buy me the cold pad. My sister helped to sponge me too and brought me water. My friends sent me messages to wish me a speedy recovery. Thank you everyone! (: I really feel very loved. Another good thing is I get to sleep ALOT. And I won't be scolded for sleeping. It is really a good time for me to rest. And lastly, I lost my appetite. hahas. Perhaps I can lose some weight!

I finally watched Harry Potter yesterday with my family and cousins. (:
Can't wait for the next movie to be out!
Anyway, went for the teaching scholarship tea session again today. This time it's for the science and math subjects. I'm more inspired to become a teacher! hahas. And somehow today, I was a bit clearer on what I want to do in university and more determined to try out for overseas universities. Not sure if this thought will hold. hahas.

Had Invest JTS today! And it was so convenient cos it was at the Sakura near my house! hahas. Save time travelling. (: Although it is near my house, this was my first time there. It was a jap buffet and boy do they have a wide variety of food! I was spoilt for choices! I wanted to try every dish there but it is really impossible cos I would seriously end up puking from eating so much. Wells, have to just take those that I prefer. But still, I ate a lot and was super full. The dessert looked so yummy. There were 8 types of cake, pudding, fruits, waffle, icecream, mochi... I tried 6 types of cakes! hahas. But Yuan Zhi beat me and ate all 8 types. Anyway, we chatted with the juniors, reviewing their ad-hoc with them. Luckily there weren't a lot of people there so we could stay until they said the lunch buffet was ending then we left. Thank You Juniors! It was a great treat! (: Actually as long as you bring me to any place that serve good food and especially the food that I like, I would consider it a great treat. hahas.

Met Jiawen and Claire today in the morning and we went to Suntec to see the scholarship cum universities fair. There were many many people! The place was super crowded and we had to squeeze our way through. Wells, obviously we didn't stay there for long. Saw many people that I know. After looking at the booths, we went to have lunch at Suntec. We had Just Noodles set meal which comes with free flow of drinks and icecream. There is a wide variety of drinks! I only managed to drink 2 cups of peach tea cos the set meal was really filling. Ate chocolate, strawberry and mango icecream! (:
At night, went out with my relatives for dinner. Then went to my cousins' house. They introduced Super Junior to my sister and me. We viewed pictures of them, watched funny videos of them...

Went to SOT yesterday. Dian Feng, Geraldine and I. Too bad that will be the only time all 3 of us would be there together cos our actual lessons are all on different days. Anyway, SOT is now at a new venue. It is totally air-conditioned now and the air-con is really strong! I was freezing throughout the lesson. It looks more glam and professional now. But with all these improvements, Geraldine and I still prefer the old SOT. Yes the building may be old, the waiting area may be super hot, but at least it felt more warm and cosy. I felt more comfortable there. And because of the growing number of students attending SOT, it didn't feel as unique as it was before. When I joined last year, the class wasn't big. It felt more personal. Now, SOT is packed! There is a secondary section and a jc section. Wells, what to do, SOT is too popular. hahas. Anyway, there are new students from NJC at SOT!
Went to attend tea session for MOE teaching scholarship today. Today's subjects are the humanities so I went to listen for Economics and Psychology. Next week I'll attend the sciences. Not bad a session. I personally like the interaction with the officers. I got to learn more. The scholarship sessions that I attend get better and better. hahas. Today's session was rather personal, maybe cos of the small size or maybe cos they allocate you to the officers based on your subject preferences. Teaching seems so much more inspiring after this session!

I had my end of term review session today with Mr Tan after school. Wells, it certainly brought back lots of memories of my council life. Before this session, I had to submit a report of what I had done and how I had shown leadership traits. Sat down for a really long time doing this report. I recalled what I had done and I wrote down a lot of my feelings. I guess I'm rather attached to council and doing council stuffs. Poor Mr Tan had to read my long long report. hahas. Cos some stuffs are irrelevant. Anyway, today's session was kinda fun cos we recalled a lot of things and I shared with Mr Tan my time in council. Thinking about it is actually a happy thing! But now, I have to redo my report. hahas. Need to write more stuffs and summarise what I had written. This is going to take a longer time!

Went to Swissotel Merchant Court at Clarke Quay in the afternoon to attend EDB Scholarship 2009 Roundtable session. This session was held in the ballroom. It was so cool. Each school was assigned to tables. I felt like it was sec 4 prom all over again. hahas. Cos the tables are numbered, there are drinks and food served, everything was so grand, it was different from the PSC fair last week. Anyway, we listened to talks, had panel discussion and roundtable discussion. I got to know more about EDB and some plans for Singapore in the future. It was enriching but I'm still not sure if EDB is for me.
Anyway, after the session, I met my squadmates at Vivo City. We went to the open space at the rooftop, sat down and chatted and stoned and took photos. Some returned home, some went for Stephanie Sun's concert, while I had dinner with Waner and Huiying. I had a nice chat with both of them! (:

Sat:
Went to Nanyang Primary School for dance rehearsal. The school is so huge and pretty! Anyway, we practised for the finale dance with the other dance groups, all from different schools. After the rehearsal, went to Orchard Hotel for the PSC scholarship fair. Looked around the booths and listened to talks. They gave alot of freebies! hahas. My family then went to Cathay for lunch. Had Dim Sum. (: We went home and watched Transformers 1 DVD cos after watching part 2, we need to watch part 1 to recall. hahas.
Sun:
Was at esplanade the whole day for full dress rehearsal. It was quite boring cos there were lots of free time. Chatted and napped. But the thought of performing at the esplanade is so cool. hahas. My godbrother treated us to dinner at a Thai restaurant. Was super full that dinner cos my godma over ordered. hahas. In the end, we had to packet lots of food home.
Mon:
Performance Day! But before that, I went for investiture rehearsal for a short while. Then went to costume room to have my hair done. Helped the rest with their hair. Then we boarded a bus to esplanade from school. We had rehearsals. And this time, we did our makeup really quickly cos we weren't given much time. I like this makeup more than syf's. hahas. Then it was performance time. I could see the audience while performing! I love the finale most! We had a standing ovation from the audience! FIRST TIME! It felt really good. (:
Tue:
Investiture Day! PUNCH, unite with might! Today is the day when the 41st step down from their council term after serving the school for a year. Mixed emotions. After the program, went for reception. The reception was good! hahas. Love the food! Then it was photo-taking session time. It was as chaotic as last year. hahas. There was also gift exchange. I was most touched by what Mr Teo said to me. That sentence made me feel that what I had done in my council term was all worth it. hahas. Anyway, just want to wish the juniors ALL THE BEST in your council term. And WELL DONE invest comm 2009! Your ad-hoc is OVER! hahas. When's JTS?

Went to school today. I thought I would be late cos I left house later than planned and waited kinda long for the bus. Luckily this bus driver drove quite fast and many of the busstops were empty. Managed to reach school by 11.30am! I had to run-walk to the main gate since the side gate was closed.
Anyway, first activity of the day--- Help shift tables and chairs from the new container classroom block to TB block. My class carried 100+ tables and chairs. My arms were breaking. hahas.
Second activity--- Invest rehearsal. The scenario was just like last year! Seniors make life difficult for juniors. Teachers get upset. Seniors get more upset. Rehearsal is always like that. Wells, I was junior last year and senior this year. Could understand the feeling of both parties. hahas.
Third activity--- Indian Dance. Its been a while since I last danced. Never had so much exercise since the holiday began. My legs and arms are breaking and aching. hahas. So there are 2 more rehearsals before the final performance on Monday. I hope I can last. My whole body is aching now from the activities of my day.

CT is over yesterday! Hahas. You should have seen how I beamed after Chem paper. I was so so so happy. So today, went out with Peixuan, Audrey, Jean and Jo-lin at Bugis. Jiawen had stomach upset so she couldn't come and poor Sijia is still having her CT. And today's her birthday somemore. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIJIA! (:
Anyway, Audrey, Peixuan and Jo-lin checked out the Shaw theatre at Bugis for nice movies but it only screened 2 movies- Transformers and Ice Age. I joined them later. We then went to Illuma. None of us has been there before so we went to look around the place. Its a really spacious place. And if you notice the pattern on the ceiling, it is really funny. I was making this remark that we looked like we were in the Golgi Apparatus and Audrey added that it looks like RER studded with ribosomes (spotlights). It was so hilarious! So we went to check out the cinema there and we decided to watch Ghosts of Girlfriends Past at 5.15pm. We took many pics there cos there were cardboard cut outs of movies. The most hilarious pics are the ones we took with Harry Potter. We had lunch at this noodle place. Its cheap and nice. Jean joined us then! Hahas. She overslept. We chatted then went to shop around Bugis street and the wooden carts and the Shopping centre. Everyone bought something except Jean. Ok I didn't buy for myself, bought something for handover. Plus I was in a budget deficit so couldn't spend on anything. Hahas. After shopping for 3 hours, we bought popcorn and drinks and went to watch the movie. The cinema is new so it is clean and the cushion is still hard. Hahas. The movie is quite nice. There were touching and funny parts. After the movie, we walked around Illuma somemore before returning home.
Its been a while since I last went out shopping with my friends. (: Anyway, the pics are with Jo-lin. Not sure if she's putting them on facebook or her blog. Go have a look, some pics are funny!
