It was the 2nd day of LS. We rehearsed our script for the presentation later. We were all really tired in the morning so couldn't really concentrate. Had tea. Then we went for 5 talks on the Water Issue. I was really sleepy. So couldn't help it but slept through 3 of the talks. :P Then we had lunch before rehearsing again.

It was finally presentation time and we were the first group to present! So after presenting, we could sit back and watch the other groups. And surprisingly, we were the winner for our organization! Hahas. Got a $50 voucher.

23/5: LS Day 3

It was the last day of LS. We were there really early for a tech run before all the winning groups present. Alas, hahas, the PA system was not ready so we didn't have a tech run and we just presented. We had a talk and it was a really funny sight to see people trying to stay awake. I had to constantly sit upright to not fall asleep on the comfortable LT5 chair or should I say couch.

After the talk, it was camwhoring session. There were alot of photos taken in the LT, outside the LT, at the atrium where the reception was... Quite a hilarious sight. After all that, went out with Joshua, Yuanzhi, Guanhao, Teresa, Vanessa and Eunice. I was the only 41st there. Hahas. A bit weird. But anyway, we took a bus to Orchard. And it was a really hot day and some of us were in our long sleeved shirts! That includes me. Hahas. So couldn't wait to get off the bus and go straight into an air-conditioned place. We walked around Tangs, mainly for the air-con. Then walked all the way to Plaza Sing for ice cream at Swensen!

When we were heading towards the MRT station, we met Lionel at Macs and Gareth at Carl's Junior! So cool. Hahas. So went back home, watched DVD, then went out again for Council's Birthday Party! We went to Vanessa's house. Her house is gorgeous! Hahas. We had a nice buffet dinner, talked, watched TV... Oh and the birthday cake was huge! With our council photo on it! (: I ate myself. Hahas. We all wanted to eat ourselves. Then the birthday comm gave out certs and the nicely compiled booklet with all our writings. And they use an unglam photo of me! :( Hahas. Wells, HAPPY BIRTHDAY 41st! I can't believe we turned 1 already!

Leadership Symposium 2009 (Day1):
After 3 days of waking up late due to the restructured timetable, I'm back to school at the usual time- 7.10am. Today's Day 1 of LS. Had a talk by Dr Patrick Tan about science research, focusing more in the field of biology. Luckily I'm studying biology so I could understand the research and to remain interested in his speech. He taught us 5 lessons. The lesson that struck me most is 'everyday is NEW'. While everyday is a cycle of eat, study, sleep and relax, if we really look deeper into these things, we will realise that they are indeed different. Hahas. Anyway, after his talk and a kinda long QnA session, it was tea! Hahas. I was starving throughout his talk. So was really happy when it was tea break. Ate until I'm kinda full. (: We had FPS breifing before icebreakers. Got to know my group, 16, more. Made friends with Scott, from Australia, YoungWoo, from Korea and Ray, from Taiwan. So cool! Hahas. We played wacko and blow wind blow. Then we proceeded to FPS. We really think alot alot alot, complicating alot of things and making big rounds before coming back to the start again! So lunch came to give us a break before we went back to FPS. The whole process was really energy draining but it was definitely fruitful in the way that I got to hear other people's ideas and we try to improve them to make them the best idea ever. Then it was tea break again! Hahas. LS food is really good. And I keep eating... even though I'm full... which is really bad. Hahas. Anyway, we thought of our presentation for tomorrow. Hopefully all goes well! (:

Watched the Peranakan Ball yesterday at the indoor stadium with my sis. It was a light hearted play so I enjoyed it. The scenes were hilarious, especially when Rayson, Brandon and Ben appeared as well as when Ann and her 3 nieces appeared. The songs are really nice. And the dances also. Saw many artistes who came to watch and support this play. (:

Went to Marina Barrage yesterday to watch the opening ceremony for the Singapore Arts Festival. My first time at the barrage! So it was a pretty exciting experience. Watched the performance there. I was amazed by the giant praying mantis made out of old lifts! It was gigantic. Hahas. And controlling it reminds me of transformers. Anyway the performance was quite nice to watch but the main highlight at least for me was the fireworks. It was very very very pretty! The whole sky was dark and shooting fireworks into the night sky was like painting a picture on a black canvas. Hahas. The view of the city from the barrage is also stunning. Love the night scenery. Plus the fireworks! Hahas.
Today's NJC 40th college day! I was there in the morning for duty. It was great to see all the seniors again! And catching up on what paths they are going to take. It is so cool to have seniors going to the UK to study! Anyway, this morning's prize presentation and concert went on pretty well. Mrs Cheng gave quite a detailed update on the College's development and achievement. I was really interested in the pictures they use. Hahas. Cos I can spot familiar faces. After our duty, Jaslin, Geraldine and I went to Mad Jack for lunch. I had a really full and satisfying lunch. Hahas. We went to island cremery for dessert. Talked alot... Actually more of gossiping. Hahas. I'm going to have a good dinner tonight cos its my mum's birthday! (: Plus I'm going to Singapore Indoor Stadium with my sis to watch the Peranakan Ball. Hahas.

Yesterday was very disppointed with my Maths results. Didn't expect to get so bad. Wonder where I lost my marks. Shall wait and see when I get back my paper. Anyway, yesterday was like GP day. I had GP lesson (essay writing) then GP lecture (Science and Technology and Medicine). The videos shown were really interesting! Then GP tuition. Met Nicholas before GP tuition, managed to catch up with him on his school life. Hahas. Then my parents came to pick me after tuition and we went to BHG where I got myself a brand new wallet! (: It cost $49. The design of the wallet is super unique cos its by the famous taiwanese author, Jimmy, who wrote the book "xiang zuo zou, xiang you zou". All his books are customized into wallet designs! Really cool! My wallet is from the book "gua zi de gu shi". At night, talked on my handphone for 2 hours till 1am! I think my phone bill is going to explode with that call. Hahas.
Today's Vesak Day! Went to the market with my mum and sis and got ourselves vegetarian breakfast. My mum said its good to go vegetarian today so that's what I did. After going to pray, went to school for 40th anniversary deco preparation. There were so many people! Hahas. Cos its a combined effort between the 41st SC and 42nd SC. Went to help draw and paint the stairs graphics. Its been really long since I last draw and paint. Still can remember myself taking art during Olevels... Anyway, the stairs graphics look really good. Hahas. At 5.30pm, I left school and headed for the airport cos my cousin is flying off. We had dinner at Sakae Sushi and it was a really rushed dinner cos we didn't have much time left as my cousin had to board the plane soon. It was a hilarious sight that we kept chasing for our food and the waiter became as anxious as us. Poor guy! After sending my cousin off, went to visit another temple. I managed to bathe the little buddha! And I managed to hit the bell with a coin on my first shot at the wishing pond! Hahas. Next year for Vesak Day, my mum wants us to try san bu yi pai, which is during the night before Vesak, we'll follow the monks and for every three steps, we'll kneel and bow. We'll do this for a big round around some buildings at Sengkang. Kinda meaningful! Don't mind trying. Hahas.

It's been close to 3 months since I last posted. Didn't had the time to post or even if I had the time, I was too lazy to do so. Hahas.
Anyway, I didn't feel like studying today and since I got home pretty early, I was surfing blogskins.com to find a suitable skin for my blog. It needs a change! Searched for things that I like- Travel, Nature, Fly, Calm... Things that will make me want to visit my blog and seek comfort in it. Hahas. Found this after dinner. I like the words on the skin "i just want things to be simple". Yup. Cos recently I have been thinking alot and the thoughts ain't making me happy. I really hope that my life will be of no worries and that it will just be a sweet and pleasant one. (:
Ok now here's update on my life. Hahas. 3 months of stuffs since Orientation 2 in Feb. That's alot of stuffs! Will try to make it short. Hahas.
School: I think I got used to JC2 life, where most of the time is spent studying. More things to study, more stuffs to remember. I learnt how to plan ahead so that I'll have some time to rest. So far so good. Hahas. Except for the fact that time is passing really fast and there are many many stuffs that I need to revise cos I can't remember all of them. Wells, shall just tell myself to take a step at a time. (: Oh and I have A for my PW. After much hard work last year, my whole class had A for PW!
Family: My sister had great Alevel results! (: She is on her way to University now. Had her SMU interview, got accepted by NTU and now waiting for NUS reply. I believe she can do well regardless of which school she enters. She's taking driving lessons now. Soon she'll be able to drive us around just like my cousin who is of the same age as her and has already passed his driving!
Friends: Met up with squadmates! It's a really nice feeling. There is always talk and laughter. (:
Council: Many many things happened. Campaigning- I mentored group 10 BALANZA and I'm so happy that all of them got into the 42nd student council! Hahas. Elects Camp- Was in the organizing comm for this camp. Did alot of preparations for this camp in AMW. It was a really memorable one! Didn't sleep much during this camp cos was running around settling things. Boarding- Yes! I boarded in NJ Boarding school for a week! Great experience! I love the convenience. I could wake up later and take a less than 5min walk to school. After school I could just go back to my room and take a nap. The food ain't that bad. Night activities were fun too. Reminded me of council retreat. Exco Elections- It was really exciting, especially for the president post. It lasted from 4.30pm to 10pm! I reached home at 11pm. I'm so glad that the president and vicepresident are from my campaigning group! And finally I have my successor as Solaris Captain! (:
Indian Dance: First time performing for SYF. On the big day, reached school at 5.50am and started doing makeup, hair, costume and accessories until 12pm plus. It was really exciting. Performed. Cheered. Teared. We have GOLD with HONOURS! (: We had 2 celebrations after all the hard work and success. Went to clarke quay for Indian food buffet for one and the other was a pizza party in school. I am so happy! But will definitely miss Indian Dance.
Life: I'm watching Korean Version of Boys Over Flowers! Very nice! And the actors and actresses are so good looking. Hahas. I didn't want to watch it online so that I can catch it on TV on KBS channel every monday and tuesday night. I will always look forward to watching it. Really sad that the show is going to end next week. Now there's no more show to keep me motivated. Star Awards was during my boarding period and so my sister updated me via sms. Really very happy that Joanne won Best Actress! It was really unexpected and I went 'high' during the night activity during boarding. And my juniors too. Hahas.
Obviously there were more stuffs that happened but these are the ones that I want to remember. I don't want to recall those unhappy moments that made me sad and made me cry. Like in my blog, I just want a simple life without worries...
